Lieutenant General Engineer/ Kamel ElWazir: The role of the authority in the field of organizing and managing the safety of maritime navigation and in the field of planning and following up the establishment, development and maintenance of lighthouses and navigational aids on the coasts of the republic and within the territorial waters and the economic zone is of great importance. Lieutenant General Engineer / Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport witnessed the inauguration of the headquarters of the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety and its departments after the completion of the comprehensive development work for the building, at a total cost of 71,800 million pounds. As the opening activities began with the unveiling of the building opening plate, which was directed by the Engineer / Kamel Al-Wazir, two young engineers in the authority to remove it in appreciation, support and encouragement of the young engineers. Then the Minister watched a presentation on all the works that had been implemented and the goal of the development work, where the Chairman of the Authority explained that the Authority’s building had not been developed and modernized for a long time, as it was necessary to develop and raise the efficiency of the main building and the departmental complex building in the Authority and create a headquarters for a global entity of the Maritime Authority The Egyptian government is worthy of the reputation and position of the Arab Republic of Egypt at the regional and international levels, especially with planning to receive the regional headquarters of maritime organizations. Then the Minister inspected the Citizen Service Office one window with a total of 28 windows, which will contribute to simplifying the procedures and the time period for citizens' requests. What the authority is doing in the field of organizing and managing the safety of maritime navigation as well as its importance in the field of planning and following up the construction, development and maintenance of lighthouses and navigational aids on the coasts of the republic and within the territorial waters and the economic zone and monitoring the levels of maritime safety and the quality of services implemented. It is noteworthy that the development work included the establishment of a developed operations center equipped with electronic screens related to the various work systems, in addition to the navigation aid follow-up system that is being established, the establishment of a conference hall for (160) individuals, in addition to the establishment of a modern center for serving citizens with a one-stop-shop system to facilitate dealers with the authority As well as establishing electronic systems and networks in all departments of the authority to facilitate and speed the flow of work. 26/9/2020
