Captain \ Shaheen Chairman of APA said that: The port witnesses an activity in the work movement, Friday October 16th 2020, where there 38 ships, 7 container ships, 15 general cargo ships, 18 Dry Bulk Ships and 3 liquid bulk ships, being unloaded, also 11 ship arrived, 12 departed the port, 20 ships stevedoring on the berths, 10635 general trucks entered and exited the port during the last 24 hours, one cargo train exit the Port 25 carriages loaded with wheat headed to mills in Cairo. Imported cargoes with weight 95790 tons are being unloaded, exported cargoes with weight 24830 tons are being loaded, the number of exported containers reached to be 958 containers, while the number of imports reached to be 2801 containers, transit Containers. Handled cargoes reached to be 158210 tons, 37590 ton Containerized cargoes, 8280 ton general cargoes, 69100 ton dry bulk cargoes, 1900 ton Liquid Bulk cargoes. Reda ElGhandour the formal speaker of the port said that : the concerned departments stressing on the necessity of taking all precautionary measures to protect from the emerging corona virus, to take all procedures of occupational health & Safety preserving lives and properties, also to coordinate with all concerned authorities to facilitate, accelerates Enter and exit, of trucks and cargoes to decrease ship's Duration of stay in the port.
