The circulation and navigation movement at the General Authority of Alexandria Port was organized during the past 24 hours, as 31 ships entered and exited in 24 hours to the berths of the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, and work is currently underway to load and unload 39 ships, most notably container ships, dry bulk and liquid. Also, 2,370 equivalent containers were traded within 24 hours, in a noticeable convergence between the number of exported and imported containers, as the percentage of exported containers constituted approximately 44% of the total containers traded for that period. Regarding the movement of goods circulation in the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, approximately 135 thousand tons were traded during that period of various types of goods and strategic goods, including liquid bulk, dry bulk, general goods, and transit. Rear Admiral Nihad Shaheen Ali, Chairman of the Board of Directors, directed the necessity of adhering to insurance, industrial security, occupational safety and health procedures in all warehouses, yards and work sites, and following standard environmental standards in all port operations to prevent pollution in all its forms.
