Alexandria Port Authority is the largest port in the Arab Republic of Egypt in terms of area, capacity and operational capabilities. Alexandria Port Authority occupies a leading position among Egyptian ports in terms of the volume of commercial traffic, handling approximately 60% of the volume of exports and imports.
The Alexandria Port Authority includes two affiliated ports, namely Alexandria Port and Dekheila Port, which have a number of specialized stations for various types of goods. They provide all operational and logistical services related to maritime transport activities, supported by various means of multi-modal transport, and are linked to a huge logistical and industrial backbone.

As part of the integrated efforts of state tourism agencies, and in implementation of the political leadership's directives to encourage tourism and the instructions of the Ministry of Transport, Alexandria Port welcomed two cruise ships during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, carrying a total of 2,109 passengers at the start of the 2026 season.
