Reda El-Ghandour the formal speaker of the port said that: The port witnesses an activity in the work movement, Tuesday October 6th 2020, where there 53 ships, 5 container ships, 22 general cargo ships, 19 Dry Bulk Ships and 4 liquid bulk ships, being unloaded, also 13 ship arrived, 10 departed the port, 28 ships stevedoring on the berths, 9452 general trucks entered and exited the port during the last 24 hours, one cargo train exit the Port 25 carriages loaded with wheat headed to mills in Cairo. Imported cargoes with weight 66920 tons are being unloaded, exported cargoes with weight 19610 tons are being loaded, the number of exported containers reached to be 436 containers, while the number of imports reached to be 1749 containers. Handled cargoes reached to be 86530 tons, 21850 ton Containerized cargoes, 14460 ton General Cargoes, 40820 ton Dry Bulk cargoes, 9400 Liquid Bulk Cargoes. Captain \ Shaheen Chairman of APA instructed the concerned departments stressing on the necessity of taking all precautionary measures to protect from the emerging corona virus, to take all procedures of occupational health & Safety preserving lives and properties, also to coordinate with all concerned authorities to facilitate, accelerates Enter and exit, of trucks and cargoes to decrease ship's Duration of stay in the port. 6/10/2020
