Handling and navigation activity was organized at the General Authority of Alexandria Port during the past 24 hours, as 39 ships entered and exited in 24 hours to the berths of the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila. Work is currently underway to Stevedore 37 ships, most notably container, dry and liquid bulk ships Also, 1,897 TEUs were handled within 24 hours, with the number of imported containers reaching 1,080 TEUs, while the number of exported containers reached 817 TEUs, constituting approximately 43%, in a noticeable convergence between the exported and imported containers. Regarding the movement of goods circulation in the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, approximately 146 thousand tons were traded during that period of various types of goods and strategic goods, including liquid bulk, dry bulk, general goods, and transit. Rear Admiral Nihad Shaheen Ali, Chairman of the Board of Directors, directed the necessity of adhering to insurance, industrial security, occupational safety and health procedures in all warehouses, yards and work sites, and following standard environmental standards in all port operations to prevent pollution in all its forms.
