The handling and navigation movement was organized at the General Authority of Alexandria Port during the past 24 hours, as 34 ships entered and exited in 24 hours to the berths of Alexandria and Dekheila ports. Work is currently underway to load and unload 46 ships, most notably container ships, dry bulk and liquid. Also, 2,119 TEUs were handled within 24 hours, with the number of imported containers reaching 1,112 TEUs, while the number of exported containers reached 1,007 TEUs, constituting approximately 47.5%, in a noticeable convergence between the exported and imported containers. Regarding the movement of cargoes circulation in the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, approximately 161 thousand tons were handled during that period of various types of cargo and strategic cargoes, including liquid bulk, dry bulk, general cargoes, and transit.
