Over the past 24 hours, the Alexandria Port Authority received 30 ships and saw 15 depart, totaling 45 vessels. Operations across all departments and technical sections proceeded smoothly, with 42 ships currently berthed at the docks. This reflects the efficiency of the port's operational system and the smooth flow of vessels entering and leaving according to the planned schedules. This is all happening in conjunction with ongoing coordination among port authorities to expedite loading and unloading processes and minimize vessel waiting times. This contributes to enhancing the port's competitiveness and improving the efficiency of services provided to all shipping lines. Regarding cargo traffic at the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, approximately 185,000 tons of various goods and strategic commodities were handled in the past 24 hours, comprising 33,000 tons of exports and 152,000 tons of imports. The total number of TEUs handled reached 6,338 in 24 hours, including 3,984 imports, 1,213 exports, and 1,141 transit containers. This reflects the diversity of container traffic across imports, exports, and transit, and underscores the port's position as a vital regional logistics hub for container handling and international trade. The gates of Alexandria and Dekheila ports witnessed the entry of 6,782 trucks and the exit of 6,848, totaling 13,630 truck movements.
