Dekheila Port welcomes the first voyage of the ship THEOSKEPASTI as part of a planned series of voyages

In an effort to boost trade and support supply chains for industrial sectors, Dekheila Port welcomed the vessel THEOSKEPASTI on its maiden voyage, part of a series of planned trips. This reflects ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and accommodate large vessels. The THEOSKEPASTI, flying the Liberian flag, is a large dry bulk carrier with a capacity of approximately 72,000 tons of coal. It measures 225 meters in length and 32 meters in width.

Alexandria Port received Two Cruise Ships During Eid al-Fitr Holiday

As part of the integrated efforts of state tourism agencies, and in implementation of the political leadership's directives to encourage tourism and the instructions of the Ministry of Transport, the port of Alexandria received two cruise ships during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, with a total of 2,109 passengers, at the start of the 2026 season. The ship ASTORIA GRANDE docked at the passenger terminal on Sunday morning, March 22, 2026, arriving for a tourist visit to the port, carrying 1,118 passengers.

Within the framework of the integrated efforts of the state agencies concerned with tourism and in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to encourage tourism, and the instructions of Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir - Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, the Port of Alexandria, headed by Major General Bahri, Chairman of the Board of Directors, received two giant cruise ships within two days, namely the cruise ship Norwegian Viva and the ship Niew Statendam.

As part of the state's efforts to support and stimulate maritime tourism, and in implementation of the political leadership's directives to increase the number of incoming tourist trips to Egyptian ports, Alexandria Port received the AROYA cruise ship today, Wednesday, August 20, 2025, coming from the Turkish port of Bodrum. This is its fourth trip in two months, as part of five scheduled trips for the coming period.
