The handling and navigation movement at the General Authority of Alexandria Port witnessed great activity during the last 48 hours, as 60 ships entered and exited during 48 hours to the berths of the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila. Work is currently underway to stevedore 35 ships, the most noticeable are container ships, dry and liquid bulk, and movement is also witnessed. Container handling was very active within 48 hours, as 3,935 T.E.U were handled, with a noticeable convergence between the number of imported and exported containers, as exported containers constituted approximately 46% of the volume of containers handled. Regarding the movement of goods handling in the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, approximately 224 thousand tons were handled during that period of various types of goods and strategic goods, including liquid bulk, dry bulk, general goods, and transit.
