A Greek delegation from the leadership of maritime transport in Greece visited the port on Wednesday,20 September 2023. The delegation was received by Rear Admiral Nihad Shaheen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Alexandria Port, and the leadership of Alexandria Port. The establishment of a shipping line between the port of Alexandria and the Greek port of Volos was discussed. The discussion included a brief explanation of the project, as well as a discussion of the latest draft of the memorandum of understanding between the two parties. The delegation also toured the port and inspected the marine passenger terminal and its berthes, as well as visited the Maleh Lock. The visit concluded with a tour of the port museum to learn about the history of the port and take a souvenir photo with Mr. Rear Admiral/Chairman of the Board of Directors.
