The navigation movement witnessed in the General Authority of Alexandria Port during the past 48 hours, as 50 ships entered and exited, and 37 ships are currently being loaded and unloaded. In a related context, more than 209,000 tons of various types of exported and imported goods were handled, mainly containers and dry bulk goods, and 3,372 equivalent containers were handled, in addition to the entry and exit of thousands of trucks. The General Authority of Alexandria Port, headed by Mr. Rear Admiral Nihad Shaheen, Chairman of the Board of Directors, has issued strict instructions to all concerned departments and authorities related to the port to ensure smooth and regular workflow during the weather fluctuations currently taking place in Alexandria Governorate, with an emphasis on placing the preservation of lives and property at the top of priorities.
