The movement of navigation and the handling of cargoes in the General Authority of the Port of Alexandria witnessed a remarkable activity during the last 48 hours, as 48 ships entered and exited the berths of the ports of Alexandria and El Dekheila within 48 hours, and work is currently underway to stevedore 29 ships, most notably container ships, dry and liquid bulk and general cargoes. Trading of goods, as approximately 170 thousand tons were handled during that period of various types of cargoes and strategic goods such as( liquid -dry )bulk and general cargo. And about containers, 2615 T.E.U were handled in the ports of Alexandria and El Dekheila. Mr. Rear Admiral Nihad Shaheen Ali - Chairman of the port directed the need to follow up on weather observations to ensure the safety and conduct of navigation in the port, as well as adherence to insurance and industrial security, safety and occupational health procedures in all stores, yards and work sites, also to follow criteria environmental standards in all port operations to prevent pollution in all its types.
