Captain \ Tarik Shaheen, Chairman of The General Authority of Alexandria Port, said that: The port witnesses an activity in the work movement, Friday August 21 th 2020, there were 54 ships, among them 2 container ships, 27 general cargo ships, 16 dry bulk, 9 liquid bulk vessels being unloaded, 14 ships arrived, 13 ships left, the number of ships operating on the berths in stevedoring reached to be 30 ships, also there are 3 ships in the internal anchor unloading wheat, coke and timber, 24 ships in the outer anchor 7 of them are ready to inter the port according to berthing priorities, 17 ships not ready to inter the port, 5478 general trucks entered and exited the port during the last 24 hours. Reda El-Ghandour the formal speaker of the port said that: The cargo movement department has registered and followed the movement of stevedoring as imported cargoes with weight 77 thousand tons are being unloaded, exported cargoes with weight 25 thousand tons are being loaded, the number of exported containers reached to be 421 containers, While the number of imports reached to be 544 containers.
