In line with the directives of Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Transport, to implement the Egyptian state's vision aimed at revitalizing maritime tourism and maximizing the utilization of the tourism potential of Egyptian ports, the Alexandria Port Authority welcomed the cruise ship CRYSTAL SERENITY at its final stop in the Arab Republic of Egypt. This was part of an international cruise organized within the framework of a high-level event by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), which toured several Egyptian cities and ports, including the Suez Canal, under the theme "A Journey of Leadership for Global Tourism Leaders: Recovery, Leadership, and the Transformation Prospects for the Travel and Tourism Sector in the Next Decade. This event, hosted by the Egyptian government with broad participation from international organizations and tourism industry partners, comes at a crucial time for the global travel and tourism sector. It aims to accelerate recovery by strengthening coordination between governments and private sector leaders, thereby supporting sustainable growth and enhancing the sector's ability to face international challenges. The ship carried 202 important and influential figures in the global tourism and travel industry, including Egyptian ministers and international diplomats, along with the Chairman of the World Travel & Tourism Council, and a number of senior officials, decision-makers, CEOs, and representatives of major international companies operating in the sector.
