Captain \ Tarik Shaheen, Chairman of the General Authority of Alexandria Port, directed all concerned parties in the port to perform sterilization and disinfection of public places, stores, yards, berths, buildings, ships, marine units, surfaces , cargoes, equipments, passenger cars, their offices, and their equipment around the clock to ensure not to spread diseases or epidemics or their passage through the port, in order to preserve the lives of citizens, sterilization and disinfection is carried out periodically for buildings visited by customers such as logistical buildings, investment building, gates, and others. The spokesman of the A.P.A, Reda El-Ghandour, said that the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila witness an activity 24 hours a day without stopping as the natural work movement continues and the work of freight and unloading works, the movement of ships, trucks, marine parts, and the movement of cargoes, the number of ships operating in the port reached 31 ships, arrived 11 ships, 17 ships traveled, there were 22 ships in the outer anchor, 7 ships in the internal anchor. The total amount of cargoes exported during the past twenty-four hours reached 12 thousand tons, the most important of which are onions, potatoes, and jet fuel.
