As the total of the goods traded in and out of the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila during the past forty-eight hours reached 238 thousand tons, thus the total of what was handled during the first four days of this week reached 550 thousand tons of various types of goods, and the number of containers for the same period reached almost 4000 containers. The General Authority for Alexandria Port took advantage of its multimodal transport capabilities, as 25,000 trucks entered and exited the portals of Alexandria and Dekheila ports within forty-eight hours, thereby exceeding the total number of trucks during the first four days of this week, 35,000 truckloads. Two freight trains consisting of 48 wagons loaded with wheat left to each of Shubra and Imbaba. In the same context, the total number of arrival and departure vessels reached 56 vessels during the past forty-eight hours. As for the number of vessels currently carrying out loading and unloading operations in the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, it reached 42 vessels, including container ships, petroleum and general cargo.
