The Alexandria Port Authority received a Singaporean delegation headed by the Director of the South Asia, Middle East, and Africa Department at the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry. This visiting aimed to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and Singapore in the fields of maritime transport and ports. During the visiting, both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing joint cooperation, particularly in port operations, trade exchange, and logistics investment projects, building on the positive outcomes of the recent meeting between leaders of the two countries. The Singaporean delegation expressed its admiration for the strategic vision for developing the Port of Alexandria, appreciating the significant progress the port has witnessed in recent years across logistics, operations, and investment. In this context, the Authority presented an overview highlighting the investment and expansion projects undertaken as part of the port's development plan, as well as efforts to connect maritime and land ports and implement multimodal transport, thereby achieving integration with the national transport network. The delegation's visit included a tour of the port museum, the marine berths, and the "Tahya Misr" multipurpose terminal, where they were briefed on the port's infrastructure development and operational standards, gaining firsthand insight into its work mechanisms and operations. At the conclusion of the visit, both sides reaffirmed the strong friendship between their countries and their readiness to enhance cooperation in maritime transport and investment projects at the port. This visiting represents a significant step towards establishing a strategic partnership, given the promising opportunities and future aspirations
