On Wednesday morning 23, April 2025 the Alexandria Port Authority received the giant container ship MSC LORENZA registered by MSC mooring for the first time at the Alexandria Port Authority's berths The ship was received at berth no. 96 designated for the Alexandria Container Handling Company at Dekheila Port. It's worth noting that the MSC LORENZA recently built in 2024 and bearing IMO registration number 9962598 is the largest container ship to ever arrive at the Alexandria Port Authority. Flying the Liberian flag, the vessel is 366 meters long, with a draft of approximately 13.9 meters. Its top speed is 17.8 knots, with a total tonnage of 155,084 tons and a capacity of 15,128 TEUs. Work is currently underway to unload its cargo.
