Mr. Rear Admiral Ahmed Hawash, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Alexandria Port, held his first monthly meeting with the Authority’s employees today, Thursday, August 29, 2024. The meeting included many employees from the Authority’s various departments.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors opened the meeting by welcoming the employees and conveying the congratulations of Mr. Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir - Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry - and Mr. Rear Admiral Nihad Shaheen, Deputy Minister for Maritime Transport - on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday.
His Excellency expressed his complete keenness to complete the process of development and advancement of the Authority, and emphasized that this will be achieved first by caring for the interests of employees, achieving rapprochement with them, activating the open-door policy, overcoming any obstacles or obstacles they may face, and working to achieve what is in the best interest. General meeting of the Authority and its employees, while continuing to hold periodic monthly meetings with them to follow up on developments and present the latest developments.
His Excellency also expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by workers in their various fields and departments and his full readiness to receive their suggestions to develop performance and improve the services provided. He also welcomed receiving any comments that would avoid obstacles, improve performance, or take care of the interests of workers in accordance with laws and regulations and help them facilitate the performance of their work and achieve stability. In a related context, the Authority’s Central Administration for Engineering Affairs presented the most important investment and development projects that have been completed and are being undertaken in the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, which will strengthen the port’s capacity and increase its ability to develop trading rates and global competitiveness in order to achieve the vision of the Great Port of Alexandria.
This comes within the framework of the Alexandria Port Presidency’s keenness to keep its employees following up on all the events and developments taking place in their authority and informing them of the volume of work being done in order to achieve a better future for the Alexandria Port Authority in particular and the Egyptian maritime transport industry in general.
The meeting included interventions by some employees and some observations and suggestions, with the employees stressing their keenness to achieve the public good of the port, moving forward on the path of hard work and success, and supporting the Authority’s ongoing efforts towards further development.
