The Food Inspection Laboratory - Alexandria Customs honored by the visit of Captain / Tarik Shaheen - Chairman of the Alexandria Port Authority after carrying out an upgrade of the laboratory's competence, his Excellency inspected the stages of examining the food imported through Alexandria and Dekheila ports. The laboratory includes six food inspection units, the laboratory is accredited by the National Accreditation Council “EGAC” in 80 microbiological and chemical tests in food, water and swabs. Samples are examined with the latest equipment to ensure the accuracy and speed of extracting results for customs release in the shortest time to ensure the provision of healthy and safe food. The laboratory includes distinguished elite of doctors, who hold masters and doctorates in food health control, It was in the honor of receiving his Excellency Prof. Ahmed Salah El-Din Ayyad, director of the laboratory, Prof. Ashraf Nazem, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Alexandria University His Excellency expressed his satisfaction with the services provided by the laboratory in examining foods with high accuracy to ensure the food security of the Egyptian citizen and his pledge to support the laboratory and the continuation of cooperation. 2-1-2021
