The navigation and handling movements at the General Authority of Alexandria Port witnessed remarkable activity within 24 hours, as approximately 200 thousand tons of goods were handled during that period of various types of goods and strategic goods, including liquid bulk, dry bulk, general goods, and transit, where dry bulk goods topped the forefront of the goods handled, as what was handled. Approximately 128 thousand tons. 2,042 TEUs were also handled within 24 hours, with the number of incoming containers reaching 1,017 TEUs, while the number of exporting containers reached 1,025 TEUs, constituting approximately 50.2% compared to incoming containers, with a remarkable convergence between exporting and importing containers almost reaching parity, in addition to the circulation of 533 transit containers. In the same context, during the past 24 hours, work took place to stevedore 39 ships, with general cargo ships forming the largest percentage of those ships, with 23 ships, followed by container and dry bulk ships, with 7 ships each, and then liquid bulk ships, with two ships.
