As part of the concerted efforts of all state agencies concerned with tourism to implement the directives of the political leadership to encourage tourism, as well as the instructions of Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, the Alexandria Port Authority, headed by Rear Admiral Ahmed Hawash, Chairman of the Board of Directors received the cruise ship this morning, Monday7April 2025, at 4:30 a.m. It is worth noting that the cruise ship Seven Seas Grandeur flying the flag of the Marshall Islands and operated by Mediterranean Dominion Shipping Agencies docked at the Alexandria Port Authority's passenger terminal with 1,269 passengers, including approximately 727 tourists coming from the Greek port of Argostoli. The ship is scheduled to depart at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday8April 2025 bound for the Cypriot port of Limassol. The passengers were received and their procedures were completed in a few minutes to start their tourist visit program to the tourist historical and cultural landmarks. The Alexandria Port Authority was keen to accompany the tugs and pilot launches and secure the ship since its arrivalas well as to closely monitor the movement of ships from the radar guidance tower. The Alexandria Port Authority prepared a grand reception for the ship and the tourists, including artistic performances presented by the tourist passenger terminal reception band at the Alexandria Port, with the assistance of Nahdet Misr Company. Souvenir gifts were also presented, as part of the state’s direction to encourage maritime tourism in Egyptian ports.
