The port also witnessed a significant increase in most types of ships during May 2023, as the number of ships reached to be 437 ships, an increase of 93 ships compared to April, with increase rate 37.9%, In a related context, the annual comparison indicators also indicate a significant increase in the movement of ships during May 2023 compared to May 2022, as the total number of ships reached to be 437 ships, an increase of 37.9%, or 120 ships, compared to May of the previous year, which witnessed the ships call 317 ships. Dry bulk vessels were at the forefront of cargo ships, which witnessed a significant increase during the month of May 2023 compared to May 2022, which achieved an increase of 77.5%, with a difference of 31 dry bulk vessels compared to the same month of last year.
