This reflects the growing prominence of the Port of Alexandria as a global tourist destination. The Saga Spirit of Adventure, arriving from the Greek port of Rhodes, moored at the passenger terminal on Tuesday morning, October 28, 2025, carrying 1,465 passengers, including 960 tourists. The shipping agent is Rhapsody Shipping Agencies, and the ship is scheduled to depart the port on Wednesday evening, October 29, 2025, bound for Valletta, Malta. The port also received the ship Volendam on Tuesday evening, October 28, 2025, arriving from the Greek port of Heraklion with 1,909 passengers on board, including 1,313 tourists. The shipping agent is Inchcape Shipping Company. The ship departed the port on Wednesday evening, October 29, 2025, bound for the Greek port of Santorini. It is worth noting that the ship Norwegian Viva, also arriving from the Greek port of Santorini, had previously docked in the port of Alexandria on Wednesday morning, October 22, 2025, with 4,676 passengers on board, including 3,216 tourists. The shipping agent is Dominion Shipping Agencies. The ship departed the port on Thursday evening, October 23, 2025, bound for the Cypriot port of Limassol. The ships were received by a number of officials from the Alexandria Port Authority, representing the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Tourism, the Egyptian Tourism Authority, the Alexandria Governorate (represented by the Regional Tourism Promotion Authority), and the Ministry of Interior (represented by the Alexandria Port Police Department). The Authority ensured the safe arrival of the ships and escorted them from the moment they entered the port using tugboats and pilot boats, with close monitoring of ship movements from the radar pilot tower to guarantee the highest levels of safety. Passengers were received by the General Directorate of Passenger Movement, and their procedures were completed smoothly and efficiently within minutes, allowing them to begin their tour program to visit the most prominent tourist, historical, and cultural sites in Egypt. The event witnessed a warm welcome, along with the presentation of souvenirs to passengers and tourists, reflecting the Authority's commitment to enhancing the tourist experience and promoting maritime tourism in Egyptian port
