Then the Minister of Transport inspected Berth 92, which is 350 meters in length and 15 meters in depth, which is designated for general cargo, whose maintenance work was completed in only two months, which included treating the berth walls and filling gaps and openings, maintenance of marine stairs, tying cannons in addition to casting concrete slabs, as the cost of those works amounted to 15 million pounds, the minister also inspected the maintenance work of berth 94, which is also designated for general cargoes, as maintenance work ended at berth 94/1 with a length of 400 meters at a total cost of 5 million pounds, maintenance work for Berth 94/5, with a length of 200 meters, was also completed at a cost of 10 million EGP, maintenance work is being carried out on Berth 94/4, which is 200 meters long and 12 meters in depth, the execution will take place in two months from the start of work on 11/22/2020 at a total cost of 10 million pounds. Then he inspected the construction site of berth 100 to be built to increase the capacity of cargoes and containers, where the project consisted of a multi-purpose container terminal on a berth of 1,800 meters in length and a depth ranging between 15-17 meters and a hinter land of 660 thousand square meters, the station operating capacity will allow to receive 4 ships With a length of 240 meters and a ship of 400 meters in length, this project will contribute of adding a new capacity for the port to handle containers, grain and general cargos an initial feasibility study for the project has been prepared, also one of the major international operators has expressed his desire to invest in this project, the Ministry of Transport is keen to achieve the principle of transparency, where the work of a truck yard with an area of ​​7000 metro has been completed and the completion work is underway on an area of ​​another 7000 meters in order to contribute to not overcrowding trucks inside the port. Then the minister went to the port of Alexandria, where he inspected a project to establish a free link linking Alexandria port with the international coastal highway at Gate 54 (Bridge 54), which is executed by the General Nile Company for Roads and Bridges, one of the companies affiliated with the Ministry of Transport, which is 2.30 km in length and 17.6 meters in width and has a total cost of 905 million the execution rate has reached 90%, as this project will contribute to achieving liquidity in traffic and transporting cargoes from the port of Alexandria to the international road, easing congestion and traffic pressure in Al-Max Street and ElWardian area and eliminating the overcrowding of heavy transport trucks in public streets in western Alexandria. Then he inspected the commercial land for timber transferred from the Timber Trading Company in Al Qabbari to the customs department of Alexandria Port, which has an area of ​​44 acres, where he inspected the planning project for the new areas for these lands, which is executed by the General Nile Company for Road Construction, one of the Ministry of Transport companies, where the project includes the execution of the general plan and urban coordination of the region, the execution of road and traffic safety works, the execution of service networks (water - sewage - fire - irrigation). 28/11/2020
