Alexandria Port Authority witnessed remarkable activity in the maritime movement and the movement of handled cargoes during the last forty-eight hours, which followed the stability of weather conditions, total handled cargoes exported and imported at the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, 240,625 tons within 48 hours, and the number of exported and imported containers reached 8,033 TEU equivalent containers, and 11,999 trucks entered and exited through the gates of Alexandria and Dekheila ports. This reached 3 trains, with a total of 74 carriages. In the same context, the total number of ships stevedoring operations on Friday reached 38 ships and on Saturday 34 ships, and it is expected that this activity will continue in both the navigation and cargoes handling movement significantly during the coming hours.
