Captain \ Tarek Shahen the chairman of APA said that : the port witnesses an activity of work today Monday 21th December 2020 where there is in the port 75 ships , also 18 ships arrived to the port, 15 ships departed the number of the working ships in berths reached to be 30 ships, 5137 general trucks exited and entered to and from the port during the last 24 hours, also 2 cargo trains departed with a total of 45 carriages loaded with 2712 tons of wheat headed for the mills in Alminya, Shobra. Now it is unloading imported cargos which weight 32040 ton, it is loading exported cargoes which weight 114246 ton, the number of exported containers 1254 while the number of imported containers is 2142 container, the handled quantity reached to be 14286 ton, from another hand MR/Reda Elghandour the formal speaker of the port said that : unloading ship "fortune trader" from Russia with 11 thousand tons of wheat, ship " Cristiana B" from Russia with 39 thousand tons of wheat, ship "lord Byron" from America with 60 thousand tons of soya seeds, ship "Agree warrior" from America with 51 thousand tons of soya seeds, also ship "futora" from Greece with 30 thousand tons of gas oil(solar). MR/Reda Elghandour added that : all working departments in the port are doing all protection procedures to protect from emerging corona virus and taking the occupational health and safety procedures to keep the soul and possessions, it is also coordinating with all concerned departments to facilitate and accelerate the enter and exit the cargoes, ships and trucks to reduce the waiting time of the ships and cargoes.
