Alexandria Port Authority handled a number of important strategic cargoes during the last twenty-four hours, including petroleum, grains and general cargoes ships, total number of arrival and departure ships reached to be 49 ships, number of ships loading and unloading operations reached to be 35 ships, total of 253 thousand tons of cargoes handled between exported and imported cargoes, in addition 2832 TEUs containers were handled, Alexandria Port Authority has taken advantage of the multimodal transport capabilities available, 12,567 trucks entered and exited through Alexandria and Dekheila ports gates, three trains consisting of 68 carriages loaded with coke departed heading to El-Tebbin, the other two loaded with grains headed to ElFayum & Shobra, in the same time, Captain / Tarik Shaheen, Chairman of A.P.A, stressed of the need to do all security and safety measures and precautionary and preventive measures taken to confront the Corona pandemic, as well as a warning to maintain standard environmental specifications and cleanliness of the water and land surface. 25/4/2021
