Captain \ Shaheen Chairman of APA said that: The port witnesses an activity in the work movement, Monday October 19th 2020, where there 73 ships, also 12 ship arrived, 9 departed the port, 29 ships stevedoring on the berths among them container, general cargo, dry bulk, liquid bulk, ship and ferries stevedoring, Handled cargoes reached to be 114162 tons, Handled containers 3296. Captain \ Shaheen added 9599 general trucks entered and exited the port during the last 24 hours, 2 cargo trains exit the Port 45 carriages. Reda ElGhandour the formal speaker of the port said that : cargo movements department recorded stevedoring so imported cargoes with weight 77582 tons are being unloaded, exported cargoes with weight 36580 tons are being loaded, the number of exported containers reached to be 7458 containers, while the number of imports reached to be 1838 containers. Reda ElGhandour added that : Chairman of APA directed all concerned departments, to take all required procedures to facilitate, accelerates enter and exit, of trucks and cargoes, also he directed to make the best efforts to increase stevedoring ratios, with the necessity of taking all precautionary measures to protect from the emerging corona virus.
