The Senate Committee on Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Media, chaired by Mr. Mahmoud Salem, visited the General Authority of Alexandria Port on Tuesday, 13/3/2023. The delegation met with Rear Admiral Nihad Shaheen, Chairman of the Authority. The delegation also got acquainted with the most important projects being implemented in the Authority by presenting a documentary film on Alexandria and Dekheila port projects, as well as watching a presentation on the measures taken by the Port Authority to activate the return of cruise ships and yacht tourism. For the port and the tourist train station, which will transport tourists directly from the port of Alexandria to the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza and Cairo to visit the archaeological sites. During their tour inside the port, the delegation visited the marine tourist passenger station, and watched the reception ceremonies for cruise ships, receiving and presenting souvenirs and mineral water to tourists, and also watched a practical demonstration of how to remove marine pollution from the water surface
