On Monday, November 6, 2023, the General Authority of Alexandria Port signed a cooperation agreement with the Chinese port of Qingdao, which includes the exchange of cooperation and expertise in the fields of port management and green and smart port systems, on the sidelines of the activities of the Middle East and Africa Transport Conference and Exhibition, which is organized by the Ministry of Transport, headed by Lieutenant General Kamel El Wazir, Minister of Transport. The agreement was signed on the Egyptian side by Mr. Rear Admiral Nehad Shaheen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Alexandria Port, and on the Chinese side by Mr. Su Jianguang, Director General of Qingdao Port, in the presence of the maritime transport sector headed by Rear Admiral Reda Ismail.
