Within the framework of the general policy of the state and the Ministry of Transport's orientation towards supporting and developing the human element, a cooperation protocol was signed today between the Alexandria Port Authority and the King Mariout Literary Studies Institute in various training fields, especially with regard to land surveying systems, GIS and map preparation. This was signed on behalf of the Alexandria Port Authority by Major General Ahmed Abdel Moaty Hawash - Chairman of the Board of Directors - and on behalf of the King Mariout Literary Studies Institute by Professor Dr. Kamil Aziz Salib - Dean of the Institute - in the presence of Professor Dr. Wagdy Hamed Farhan - Deputy Director of the Institute for Education and Students Affairs. The signing was also witnessed by the specialists of the Alexandria Port Authority, headed by Major General Hesham Safwat, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Operations, Major General Mahmoud Ibrahim Abdel Fattah, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Investment, and Dr. Engineer Ahmed Al-Barbari, Director General of Training. This protocol comes as an addition to the protocols that the Alexandria Port Authority has previously signed in the training fields with many specialized universities and institutes, in light of the Authority’s societal role and its keenness to care for the Egyptian human element and develop it to keep pace with the increasing global development in various scientific and practical aspects.
