The navigation movement and the General Authority of Alexandria Port witnessed during the last 48 hours a remarkable activity, as 56 ships entered and exited the berths of Alexandria and ElDekheila ports within 48 hours, and work is currently underway to load and unload 36 ships, most notably container ships and dry and liquid bulk The container handling movement witnessed a great activity within 48 hours where 3320 TEU were handled, in a remarkable convergence between the number of imported and exported containers, as the exported containers approximately reached to be 37.9% of the total of handled containers. With regard to the movement of cargo handling in the ports of Alexandria and ElDekheila, approximately 182 thousand tons were handled during that period of various types of goods and strategic commodities such as liquid bulk, dry bulk and general cargo.
