The movement of trading and navigation at the General Authority of Alexandria Port was regular during the past 24 hours, as 32 ships entered and exited the docks of Alexandria and Dekheila ports in 24 hours, most notably general cargo ships, dry bulk, containers and liquid bulk. 2550 TEUs were also traded during 24 hours, as the number of imported containers reached 1310 TEUs, while the number of exported containers reached 1240 containers, representing approximately 48.6%, in a noticeable convergence between exported and imported containers. As for the movement of goods trading at Alexandria and Dekheila ports, approximately 171 thousand tons were traded during that period of various types of goods and strategic commodities, including liquid bulk, dry bulk, general goods and transit. Major General Ahmed Hawash, Chairman of the Board of Directors, directed the need to adhere to the procedures of insurance, industrial security, safety and occupational health in all warehouses, yards and work sites, and to follow the standard environmental criteria in all port operations to prevent pollution in all its forms.
