In a new qualitative achievement that adds to a series of accelerating successes, the Tahya Misr Multipurpose Terminal at Alexandria Port witnessed the simultaneous arrival of two giant ships from the global shipping line CMA CGM, the CMA CGM ADONIS and the CMA CGM TITAN, with a total tonnage exceeding 285,000 tons. This unprecedented achievement reflects the high operational efficiency of the port terminals and their ability to efficiently handle giant ships in parallel.The two vessels docked at the Tahya Misr terminal and began unloading simultaneously, reflecting the port's high technical and logistical readiness. The CMA CGM ADONIS is one of the newest and largest vessels in the CMA CGM fleet, with a gross tonnage of approximately 154,000 tons, a length of 366 meters, a width of 51 meters, a draft of 16 meters, and a capacity of more than 15,400 TEUs.The CMA CGM TITAN has a gross tonnage of over 131,000 tons, a length of 363 meters, a width of 45.6 meters, a draft of 12 meters, and a capacity of approximately 11,400 TEUs, making it a giant vessel that enhances the competitiveness of the Tahya Misr terminal.The port's Maritime Traffic and Services Departments completed all technical and logistical arrangements to receive the two vessels, including guidance, towing, and navigational insurance, in addition to careful coordination with operational crews to ensure the speed and efficiency of unloading and handling procedures.This achievement adds to the Alexandria Port's record of accomplishments, having welcomed the CMA CGM OSIRIS, the largest ship in the history of the Alexandria Port, at the Tahya Misr terminal. This achievement comes amidst the growing confidence of major international shipping lines in the port's readiness and stable operational performance.
