The Alexandria Port Authority today organized a celebration of International Women's Day under the theme "An Ocean of Opportunities for Women." This celebration coincided with Rear Admiral / Ihab Salah assuming his new position as Chairman of the Authority's Board of Directors, succeeding Rear Admiral / Ahmed Abdel Moaty Hawash. On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors expressed his pleasure at meeting his colleagues at the Authority, emphasizing his appreciation for the pivotal role played by Egyptian women within the work system, as well as their sincere contributions and distinguished efforts. Rear Admiral / Ihab Salah extended his sincere thanks to Lieutenant General / Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, for his valuable confidence, expressing his aspiration to contribute to advancing the Authority's journey to further success. He also extended his thanks and appreciation to Rear Admiral Ahmed Abdel Moaty Hawash for his efforts and wise leadership during the past period. The Chairman of the Board of Directors emphasized that women working at the Port of Alexandria are a key partner in the work process and a symbol of giving and excellence, praising their ability to face challenges and contribute to the successes achieved by the Authority. At the end of his speech, Rear Admiral Ihab Salah stressed the importance of working as a team, men and women, to achieve the Authority's goals and enhance the position of the Port of Alexandria as one of Egypt's important economic strongholds, wishing them continued success and progress. His Excellency also honored a number of former and current female employees of the Authority for their efforts and dedication in performing their work as a role model for every Egyptian woman.
