The Alexandria Port Authority participated today Tuesday 15 April 2023 headed by Rear Admiral / Ahmed Abdel Moaty Hawash Chairman of the Board of Directors. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Rear Admiral Tarek Abdullah Head of the Maritime Transport and Logistics Sector on the Egyptian side and Mr. / Hatem El-Feki, the General director of Maritime Transport and Commercial Sea Ports on the Tunisian side. The meeting addressed a number of important topics related to joint cooperation between the Egyptian and Tunisian sides. Among the most prominent of these topics was the activation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Alexandria Port Authority and the Tunisian Office of Commercial Maritime and Ports which covers various areas such as the exchange of information and expertise training, cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, the environment, investment projects, and enhancing trade activity between the two parties. The meeting also presented the measures taken by the Alexandria Port Authority as an example of the Egyptian experience in performing port services and how to improve their productivity. It also explored ways of cooperation in this field between the Egyptian and Tunisian sides to develop friendly and trade relations and achieve mutual benefit for the two sister countries.
