The authority, under the directives of Mr. Captain / Tarek Shaheen, Chairman of the Board of Directors - has taken all necessary measures to correct that concept and to clarify that the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila are two administrative divisions affiliated to one entity, which is the General Authority of Alexandria Port This resulted in the re-inclusion of the Alexandria Port Authority in the list of the best ports in the world issued in 2021; Where the detail of the statement issued by Lloyd's Organization indicated that the port of Alexandria is one of the most important ports in the eastern Mediterranean, and handles approximately 60% of the foreign trade of the Arab Republic of Egypt. There are also two main operators of container handling terminals in the port in Alexandria and Dekheila ports.
