Port operations and navigation at Alexandria Port Authority witnessed significant activity over the past 24 hours, with all operational and technical departments functioning smoothly. A total of 50 vessels were currently at berth, with 18 arriving vessels and 13 departing vessels. This reflects the efficiency of the operational system and the smooth flow of vessels entering and leaving according to the planned navigation schedules. The total number of TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) handled reached 9,634 in the same 24-hour period, including 7,073 imports, 1,579 exports, and 982 transit containers. This reflects the diversity of container traffic across imports, exports, and transit, and underscores the port's position as a vital regional logistics hub for container handling and international trade.
