Navigation and cargo operations at the Alexandria Port Authority proceeded smoothly over the past 24 hours, with 10 ships arriving and 15 departing, totaling 25 vessels. All operational and technical departments functioned normally, and a total of 29 ships were currently berthed, reflecting the efficiency of the operational system and the smooth flow of vessel entry and exit according to the planned schedules. This comes in conjunction with ongoing coordination among port authorities to expedite loading and unloading rates and minimize vessel waiting times, thereby enhancing the port's competitiveness and improving the efficiency of services provided to all shipping lines. Regarding cargo traffic at the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, approximately 108,000 tons of various types of goods and strategic commodities were handled over the past 24 hours, comprising 36,000 tons of exports and 72,000 tons of imports. The total number of TEUs handled reached 7,086 in 24 hours, including 2,789 imports, 1,244 exports, and 3,053 transit containers. This reflects the diversity of container traffic across imports, exports, and transit, and underscores the port's position as a vital regional logistics hub for container handling and international trade. The gates of Alexandria and Dekheila ports witnessed the entry of 5,496 trucks and the exit of 5,164, totaling 10,660 truck movements.
