During the last 48 hours, the navigation movement at the General Authority of Alexandria Port witnessed remarkable activity, as 68 ships arrived and departed from the berthes of the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila within 48 hours, and work is currently underway to stevedore 36 ships, most notably container ,dry and liquid bulk cargo ships as well as the movement of containers became very active within 48 hours, as 2370 equivalent containers were handled, and approximately 178 thousand tons were handled during that period of various types of cargo and strategic commodities such as liquid bulk, dry bulk and general cargo. Weather observations to ensure the safety and conduct of navigation at the port, as well as adherence to insurance and industrial security, safety and occupational health procedures in all warehouses, yards and work sites, and to follow standard environmental standards in all port operations to prevent pollution in all its types .
