Alexandria Port is witnessing activity in the circulation movement amid strict precautionary measures to counter the spread of Corona virus

  Captain \ Tarik Shaheen, Chairman of Alexandria Port Authority, directed the specialists in the port of the necessity to follow the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus, Captain / Shaheen issued strict instructions to all the port authorities and their employees to commit to take all precautionary measures to prevent Corona virus and stressed that the presence of workers will not be allowed either in the authority or all the working authorities in it without wearing protective masks and also not dealing with any citizen who does not wear a masks, he stressed the implementation of these instructions in compliance with the decisions of the Prime Minister in this regard. Reda El-Ghandour, the formal speaker of the General Authority of Alexandria Port, said that the port witnesses an activity in the work movement today, Sunday, May 31, 2020, where there were 56 ships in the port, and the number of ships operating on the docks reached 23 vessels being unloaded, including 4 container ships, and 1 oil ship, the number of 10 general cargo ships, the number of 3 dry casting ships. There were also 5 ships with soy, wheat and wood cargo. There were 40 ships in the outer anchor 5523 general trucks were in and out of the port during the past twenty-four hours. Al-Ghandour added that the Department of Cargo Movement recorded higher rates in the movement of loading and unloading, as imported cargoes 90 thousand tons are being unloaded, 5501 tons of cargoes exported are being loaded, the number of exported containers reached 687 containers, while incoming 1080 containers to facilitate all procedures and overcome obstacles to ensure the safe entry and exit of trucks and cargoes. 31/5/2020
