  Captain \ Tarik Shaheen, Chairman of Alexandria Port Authority, said that the port's specialists realize the importance of receiving products that provide food for Egyptians, as well as petroleum and medical materials, and for this purpose, facilitating and speeding the loading and unloading operations at the port over the twenty-four hours with the strengthening of precautionary procedures of protecting from the spread of the Covid virus - 19. Reda El-Ghandour, the formal speaker of A.P.A, said that the port is witnessing an activity where the flow of cargoes and commodities continues through the Alexandria and Dekheila ports which are witnessing non-stop continues activity and the movement of ships, trucks and ships. at the outer anchor 22 ships, and the internal anchor 5 ships unload wood and soybeans, and this total cargo handled in the port during the past twenty-four hours reached 175 thousand tons. Al-Ghandour added that 3 potato ships, an onion ship, a urea ship, a salt ship and an aircraft fuel ship are being exported, and 21 cargo ships, including 5 grain ships, are being unloaded, bringing the total grain stocks in the port to 1.2 million tons (one million and two hundred thousand tons) of them 390 thousand tons of wheat, 3 petroleum products ships are also unloaded, the number of exported containers reached 257 TEUs, the number of incoming containers is 617 TEUs, and 11,402 general trucks entered and exited to and from the port. All the concerned authorities in the port follow the precautionary procedures of protecting from the spread of the Covid virus, 4/8/19/2020
