Mr. / Reda ElGhandour – the formal speaker of A.P.A assured Thuseday 25th Feb. 2020 the regularity in cargoes movement & ships movement & trucks and cargoes despite bad weather, And said That the department of ship movement is following the weather forecast regularly to be sure that the wind's speed and the wave's height are registering the ratios which allow moving launches, tugs and the ships movement safely. He added that the total number of exist ships were 88 ships, the loading and unloading operations are continuing with 36 ship from them Containers Ships, Petroleum Ships, General Ships, ships are on the internal anchor, 24 ships are on the outer anchor, Concerning trucks movement there are 9200 general trucks enter and exit to and from the port during the last 24 hours. Captain / Tarek Shahin – the Chairman of A.P.A assured the necessary of continuing loading and unloading works, trucks and cargoes entering and exiting the port in a natural way and be careful while charging and discharging during stevedoring operations, And the necessity of the readiness of rescue units, operations center and port radio around the clock to receive any distress signals from any ship in order to preserve the safety of life and property. Captain / Tarek Shahin also directed the necessity of paying attention to maintenance plans inside the port, which includes maintenance of roads, buildings, Cultivations, Berths, yards, water surface, navigational marks, maintenance of tugs, launches, marine units, electronic system, and monitoring systems. 25/2/2020
