  Captain / Tarik Shaheen, Chairman of Alexandria Port Authority, instructed the concerned authorities and port workers to take all precautions and measures to protect themselves and protect others from the dangers of the new Corona virus, Shaheen called for the need to adhere to personal protection, commitment to spatial divergence, to follow all the protocols that it published and recommended The Egyptian Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, as well as the decisions approved by the Council of Ministers to reduce the spread of the Corona virus (Covid 19). The formal speaker of the port, Reda El-Ghandour, said that the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila witness an activity over the past 24 hours without stopping as the natural work movement continues and the loading and unloading activities are active, the movement of ships, trucks, marine units, the movement of cargoes, the number of ships operating in the port reached 30 ships, 18 ships arrived, 14 ships departed, there were 17 offshore anchors, 17 of them ready, 8 of which will be entered by the Traffic Department at the port according to the priority of mooring, also there were 4 ships unloading the wood, soybeans and wheat with a total of 119 thousand tons, The total of cargoes exported during the past twenty-four hours reached 9 thousand tons, the most important of which are agricultural crops. The total of imported cargoes reached 112 thousand tons, the most important of which are grains and petroleum products, wood, coal. The number of exported containers reached 473 TEUs, the number of incoming containers reached 911 TEUs, entry was entered and the exit of 6 thousand general trucks from the Port, as well as two trains loaded with 3,150 tons of wheat heading to Shubra and Imbaba. 23/5/2020
