Lieutenant General Engineer \ Kamel Al-Wazir - Minister of Transport announced the arrival of a new batch of new railway passenger carriages, with a total of 18 carriages, to Alexandria Port, bringing the total number of carriages that have reached to be so far to 121 carriages, as part of a deal to manufacture and supply 1,300 new carriages, which is the largest and largest deal In the history of Egypt's railways, which had been signed by the Egyptian Railways Authority and the Russian company Transmach, representing the Russian-Hungarian alliance, with a value of one billion and 16 million and 50 thousand Euros. The Minister of Transport confirmed that the 18 carriages that arrived are third-class carriages with dynamic ventilation, that there are 17 other new carriages that will arrive before the end of this month, with the remaining carriages arriving in batches at a rate of 35 per month, according to the specified schedule. The minister pointed out that the deal of 1,300 new passenger carriages includes 800 air-conditioned carriages (500 third-class air-conditioned carriages, a new service that is offered to passengers for the first time in the history of Egypt’s railways, 180 second-class luxury carriages, 90 luxurious first-class carriages and 30 air-conditioned buffet carriages) and 500 third-class carriages with Dynamic ventilation.
