The Alexandria Port Authority witnessed remarkable activity in the navigation and cargo movement during the past forty-eight hours. The total number of goods handled, exported and imported in the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, reached 225,255 tons, and the number of exported and imported containers reached 3,988 TEUs, and 13,534 trucks entered and exited the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila. In the same context, the total number of ships carrying out loading and unloading operations during the past forty-eight hours has reached 59 vessels, and it is expected that this activity will continue in both the navigation and handling movement significantly during the coming hours. Mr. Rabban / Tariq Shaheen, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stressed the need to take all precautionary and preventive measures taken to confront the Corona pandemic, as well as a warning to maintain the standard environmental standards and the cleanliness of the water and land surface.
