Captain \ Tarek Shahen the chairman of APA said that : the port witnesses an activity of work today Sunday 13th December 2020 where there is in the port 74 ships , also 12ships arrived to the port, 14 ships departed the number of the working ships in berths reached to be 29 ships, 3493 general trucks exited and entered to and from the port during the last 24 hours, also 2 cargo trains departed with a total of 44 carriages loaded with 2144 tons of wheat headed for the mills in Alminya, Kafr Elshekh. Now it is unloading imported cargos which weight 88781 ton, it is loading exported cargoes which weight 22640 ton, the number of exported containers 284 while the number of imported containers is 724 container, the handled quantity reached to be 111421 ton, from another hand MR/Reda Elghandour the formal speaker of the port said that all working departments in the port are doing all protection procedures to protect from emerging corona virus and taking the occupational health and safety procedures to keep the soul and possessions, it is also coordinating with all concerned departments to facilitate and accelerate the enter and exit the cargoes, ships and trucks to reduce the waiting time of the ships and cargoes, raising loading and unloading ratios in the port.
