Captain \ Tarek Shaheen Chairman of APA said that: The port witnesses an activity in the work movement, on Monday November 30th 2020, where there are 76 ships, also 18 ship arrived, 15 departed the port, 30 ships stevedoring on the berths, 2 internal anchor ships, 3 container ships, 5 petroleum ships, 17 general cargoes ships, 10273 general trucks entered and exited the port during the last 24 hours. Imported cargoes with weight 92490 tons are being unloaded, exported cargoes with weight 32390 tons are being loaded, the number of exported containers reached to be 459 containers, while the number of imports reached to be 969 containers, handled non-containerized cargoes reached to be 124880 tons, Reda ElGhandour the formal speaker of the port said that: all departments stressing on the necessity of taking all precautionary measures to protect from the emerging corona virus, to take all procedures of occupational health & Safety preserving lives and properties, also to coordinate with all concerned authorities to facilitate, accelerates entry and exit, of trucks and cargoes to decrease cargoes, ship's Duration of stay in the port raise the stevedoring rates. Reda ElGhandour added unloading 15 thousand tons of Gas oil (Solar) aboard the ships "Baltic Soul" from Greece, also loading 2 thousand tons of exported Chemicals aboard the ship "Ruby T".
